What is Three Gun Action Shooting?
Three gun is a sport with a target course that can require a
the competitor to use a handgun, shotgun, and a rifle.
The course generaly has steel knock down targets or silhouettes sets
for each weapon. The goal of each competitor is to finish the course in the
least amount of time. Time penalties are added for missed targets. Therefore
accuracy as well as speed is important.
A match is held each month. The course is setup differently each time.
The equipment needed is annonced in advance.
Three firearms are not always required. It can be any combination of two
within the three or all three.
One hundred rounds should be brought to the match for each firearm.
Bring enough speedloaders for revolvers or pistol magizines to hold sixty
rounds at the minimum.
If you like to shoot fast on the move this is the sport to try.
